FOR YOUR INFORMATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bret Stemrich <semperoriens77@yahoo.com> wrote: FORPAWG Members,
Uniform correctness was brought up at the executive committee meeting on Saturday, Oct. 20th. There seems to be some misinterpretation. Authorized T-shirts (IAW NHQ): Brown, and Black (CAPM 39-1 table 2-3) Additional Authorization (PAWG): Orange SAR T-shirt (IAW CAPM 39-1 Table 2-3) There was no discussion on the headgear other than to "matter-of-factly" state that the orange hat is here to stay and aside from Wing HQ personnel it is currently the official hat of all units in the Wing. "Crushing", or "peaking" is a feature that is addressed in CAPM 39-1 fig. 2-26 note 3. It basically states that the Airforce BDU cap, or BDU baseball cap may not be "rolled", or "crushed". However, note 4 in figure 2-26 doesn't make that requirement for the "CAP Baseball Cap". By definition the CAP Baseball cap is the one we currently wear in the PAWG. "Peaking", or "Crushing" is therefore neither specified, or unauthorized. In my opinion it should be at the discretion of the unit commander to ensure that it's appearance, when worn, reflects a professional attitude.

To all Commanders, AE Officers and Staff;
Commander Fleming is happy to announce that Capt Fred
Zeyfang from the Erie Composite Sq 502 will be the new Group Six Aerospace
Education Officer effective 01 April 2008. Please welcome him aboard and
let him know who each Squadron's AE Officers and Instructors are so he can
better work with you and assist you in your Squadron Aerospace Training.
Commander Fleming wishes to thank Lt James Longan for
his service as the Group Six Aerospace Officer for the past 11 1/2 months.
Lt Longan is very busy with Sq 123 and continues to work very hard for CAP,
the PA Wing and Group Six.
For the Commander,
Shelly
Fleming, Capt
Chief of Staff Group 6
To: All Squadrons in PA Wing, Group 6 From: SM Michael Adamus, Deputy PAO for Group 6 Re: Submissions for Wing Slip and Group 6 News
Deputy Public Affairs Officer for Group 6
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Michael Adamus, and I have been appointed as the Deputy Public Affairs Officer for Group 6 under 1LT James Vessella. I would also like to welcome Airman Jessica Frankhouser who will be assisting us, as well. One of my new duties is to produce a monthly update for the PA Wing Newsletter. My plan is to have an email address where each Squadron can send updates, promotions, upcoming events, etc. It will also help the PAO staff compose the Wing update quickly and efficiently. We will also use the info to create the Group 6 Quarterly Newsletter. To that end, I would like to announce our new Group 6 email address. Send your Squadron updates to pagroup6mail@yahoo.com. I would like to begin publishing in May. For now, begin compiling your updates and I?ll send out the deadline when I have it confirmed from Wing. Please remember that we may have limits as to room and length. If there is something urgent that you want reported, note that in your update. With our Air Show coming up soon, there?s a lot to do and only a couple of months left. We hope you will help by promoting the event in your region. If you need any help or have recommendations, please let us know. On behalf of your PAO staff, I look forward to working with you. Together, we will show the best that Group 6 has to offer.
